Two sisters, six and nine years old, created some hand-made signs, bought a bunch of fresh lemons, and set up a stand next to their home. Wearing matching shirts and crocks, with some music playing in the background, they hoped to have some fun time and make some money.
Many neighbors were eager to stop by and buy some lemonade from them. But one particular woman, who spotted the girls while driving in her SUV, didn’t like the idea of the sisters selling drinks on the corner and called the police, claiming they were “working” without a permit.
