With his messy brown hair, gap-toothed smile, and endless obsession with dinosaurs and football, he had a way of pulling me back into the present whenever my mind drifted toward regret. People always expect divorce stories to involve cheating scandals, screaming matches, or dramatic betrayals. Ours didn’t. That almost made it worse.
